CTV WIDC DIRECTOR DEVELOPMENT AWARD

OVERVIEW

The CTV WIDC Director Development Award is designed to acknowledge and encourage the work of mid-career female directors of live action fiction for television.  Selected from applicants across Canada, this award will be presented annually at the WIDC Launch Event held during the Banff World Television Festival.

As an incentive towards the development of her own skills and/or her next directing project, the $10,000 cash award will help fund opportunities like shadowing a master director on a television series, building her directing skills tool kit, attending other festivals or markets including the Banff World Television Festival, MIP, or if she is not already an alumna, pending director selection jury approval, attending the WIDC program .

The award will also provide career planning assistance facilitated by CWWA.
