Actor... Christianne began her professional acting career in 1982 playing opposite James Garner, Colleen Dewherst, and John Lithgow in the feature film GLITTERDOME. She has since played over 60 lead and supporting lead roles in feature films, MOWs and in series television. Other credits include: Lill in the feature FOR THE MOMENT (opposite Russell Crowe); Lorie LaRoche in SKATE for which she won international recognition and a Gemini nomination for Best Dramatic Actress; series regular Hannah Peale on LONESOME DOVE (the series); and her critically acclaimed performance as Jennie is the feature film, HEART OF THE SUN, for which she won the 1999 AMPIA - Best Actress Award. On stage, her appearances include Roberta in DANNY AND THE DEEP BLUE SEE (Rogues Theatre), IVANOV and THE REAL THING (Theatre Junction), A CHRISTMAS CAROL (Theatre Calgary), and Lady Macbeth in MACBETH (Company Of Rogues, Vancouver). Instructor... Throughout a professional career that has spanned over 20 years, Christianne has studied extensively in New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. A highly respected instructor, she began teaching in Vancouver in the '80's, co-founding Company of Rogues Actors' Studio in 1993, and Rogues-Calgary in 1996. Outside her own studio, Christianne has been an acting instructor for the Alberta Centre of Acting Studies, Mount Royal College (Calgary) and Dramaworks (Edmonton). She is one of the foremost instructors of Meisner Technique in Western Canada, where she also continues to conduct her Acting for Film & Television workshops. Christianne is often invited to fulfill the role of Mentor Actor for the Women in the Director's Chair program at The Banff Centre. Director, Writer... An Alumna of The Women in the Director's Chair program at The Banff Centre, Christianne directed the short film CRAVING, which screened at the Calgary International Film Festival in 2005 and now has distribution. She is presently writing a feature film and has a number of other projects in the works.
