During an intensive Story Incubation Module (SIM) led by master instructor Carolyn Mamchur at The Banff Centre participants explore a psychological approach to character development, attend one-on-one and group sessions on story structure, and improving dialogue. 

Guest speakers may include Production Designer, Sound Designer, Cinematographer, Mentor Actor, and Mentor Director, each offering their unique perspective and insights into the creative and practical elements of story development.

Over the five weeks following the SIM, the director participants work with a seasoned story editor (by telephone and on-line) to polish their short scripts for production the following January at the Prep, Production and Post production Module (PPPM).
